Malaika Arora’s fervour for dance and her passion for fitness is well documented. She started her career as a model and a VJ on MTV and later moved on to films.

Malaika,(which means angel)  is best known for her Chaiyya Chaiyya dance number with superstar Shahrukh Khan, and Munni Badnam Hui in Dabaang. Her love for dance has landed her many assignments on reality shows. On the small screen, she has been  a judge on India’s Got talent, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and currently she’s being seen as a judge on `India’s Best Dancer.

Adding another feather in her hat,the ageless beauty also turned entrepreneur with Diva Yoga studio in Mumbai.

She says, “I turned to Yoga when I was at a precarious stage in life. I needed a bit of calm and direction in my life, so I turned to Yoga.”

Currently, during the lockdown period the actress keeps sharing her life on social media. She is either cooking, working out or plain chilling. On Instagram, she said, “she shared a sun-kissed selfie of herself, expressing gratitude about the fact that she is safe amid this crisis.”

“Another week goes by… wondering what awaits us….but for now loving the sun on my skin n the wind in my hair n the comfort of knowing that I have a roof over my head with my loved ones.”

Sharing the set of pictures, she wrote, “Cook, clean, workout, staying positive, sleep, some introspection, family time, repeat …. all the perks of staying at home.”

A few days back, on Earth Day, Malaika shared a rather thoughtful message. “Mother earth is a living organism too. Love, honor and respect her,” her note read. That, indeed, is the need of the hour!

I love to cook! I love cooking for my family and friends but with my busy schedule, I hardly get time to pursue this passion of mine. But with this self isolation upon us, I thought of utilising this time in a constructive and healthy way by cooking some sumptuous and delicious 'Malabari veg stew for the soul'. I have got this recipe from mom @joycearora and a bit from my friend Maunika @cookinacurry who's a lovely cook. Everyone at home simply loves this stew and we are going to have it with some white rice and some delicious gluten-free, vegan chickpea bread that my friend Raveena @iamayogisattva made for me. M in for a lovely treat, I hope you too utilise this time to do something positive and healthy. Stay calm and stay safe! #stayhome#quarantine #covid_19
