*Malaika talks about her lockdown experience at home
Malaika Arora’s fervour for dance and her passion for fitness is well documented. She started her career as a model and a VJ on MTV and later moved on to films.
Malaika,(which means angel) is best known for her Chaiyya Chaiyya dance number with superstar Shahrukh Khan, and Munni Badnam Hui in Dabaang. Her love for dance has landed her many assignments on reality shows. On the small screen, she has been a judge on India’s Got talent, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and currently she’s being seen as a judge on `India’s Best Dancer.
Adding another feather in her hat,the ageless beauty also turned entrepreneur with Diva Yoga studio in Mumbai.
She says, “I turned to Yoga when I was at a precarious stage in life. I needed a bit of calm and direction in my life, so I turned to Yoga.”
Currently, during the lockdown period the actress keeps sharing her life on social media. She is either cooking, working out or plain chilling. On Instagram, she said, “she shared a sun-kissed selfie of herself, expressing gratitude about the fact that she is safe amid this crisis.”
“Another week goes by… wondering what awaits us….but for now loving the sun on my skin n the wind in my hair n the comfort of knowing that I have a roof over my head with my loved ones.”
Sharing the set of pictures, she wrote, “Cook, clean, workout, staying positive, sleep, some introspection, family time, repeat …. all the perks of staying at home.”
A few days back, on Earth Day, Malaika shared a rather thoughtful message. “Mother earth is a living organism too. Love, honor and respect her,” her note read. That, indeed, is the need of the hour!
Malaika’s perfectly toned body, sexy legs, and hot looks are a result of her rigorous workout regime and disciplined lifestyle. She swears on Yoga, Pilates, cardio and weight training.
Malaika loves homemade food and avoids foods that are high in calories. She prefers to snacks on nuts and fruits. She keeps herself well-hydrated throughout the day with water, coconut water, fruit or vegetable juices. She has a light dinner and avoids carbs at night.
“Your body is a temple and you should respect it’, adding that one should give some time everyday no matter how busy life gets.
