A few tips to Workout from Home

Due to Corona Virus Pandemic, all the gyms, dance and group fitness sessions are off. So, we have no option but to workout from home

. That’s the beauty of Yoga and free hand exercises. Of course, working out alone takes a lot of motivation and it is not everybody’s cup of tea.

We would just recommend a group of exercises to sail through the day. Not all of us like the celebs have home gyms. But we can still have a good workout build around with lunges, squats, skipping and Yoga

*Start with a few warm up stretches. Neck rotations, hand rolls and leg stretches. A few side bends and site twists.

*Start with a few rounds of Suryanamaskars. The number of rounds depends on your comfort level. Suryanamaskars are a complete workout in itself.

*You can do skipping for about 5 to 10 minutes.

*A few squats for the lower body.

*A few lunges for the lower body. Or you can even do a circuit 1 minute squats, 1 minute lunges, 1 minute kicking and I minute on spot jogging.

*This is half an hour of cardio workout. Post this, take your mat and sit down.

*Start with some Pranayamas Anulom Vilom, Brahmri and Kapalbhatti.

*You can sit in Vajrasana for five minutes and close your eyes and focus on your breaths. Depending on how you feel you can meditate for a period of 5 minutes or so.

* Post this lie down in Shavasana for 5 minutes.

(These exercises are only a recommendation and we are assuming you are a healthy adult who has already learnt these exercises. If you are new to Yoga and other exercises please consult your doctor or fitness trainer first.)
