Last eight months have been a challenge for the tourism and hospitality sector. But things are changing albeit slowly. Some amount of International Tourism has started. But what people are really enjoying are the weekend getaways and short trips.

For 2021 it looks like domestic tourism is the way forward. In Kashmir these days the famous resorts and hill stations in Gulmarg and Pahalgam have been booked by tourists for the upcoming days.

According to a report published in one of the leading news websites, even high-end resorts in Gulmarg have been booked till January 2021. Reportedly, about 600 to 700 tourists are reaching Gulmarg on a daily basis. Of these, about 200 to 300 alone are from different parts of India, and the rest are local tourists keen on spending vacation time in the hill station.

Gulmarg with its snowfall has been an attraction for visitors who love skiing or enjoy a ride on the famous ropeway known as Gulmarg Gondola.

Nestled amidst lush-green meadows, snow-capped mountains, evergreen forested hills and valleys, Gulmarg forms a perfect destination for the romantics. Situated in the western Himalayas, a number of Bollywood movies have been shot here.

The captivating views of Nanga Parbat, Harmukh mountains and the mesmerizing beauty of the region attracts seekers for the adrenaline rush.
Pahalgam is referred to as the shepherd’s village. With cattle being led all around, flowing through is the beautiful Lidder river, with scenic river banks. Though it’s a little far from Srinagar, it’s totally worth your time.
