Women constitute more than half of the world’s population and mostly they make the decisions to buy things at home and also decide what the family eats. We at Yogfit think, it is never too late and it is better to educate women, and help them to start their fitness journey.
In your 20s

Right eating begins at home so your child too will pick up from you. Restrict the junk food, ice-cream, colas, and burgers for your child.
*Metabolism is the rate at which our body burns calories. Depending on your lifestyle, body type and eating habits, your metabolism takes shape. Middle age is the time when your metabolism slows down. Try to lift weight and include sustainable protein in your diet, with optimal intake of iron and working out regularly to keep up your metabolism.

*Mindful eating helps you stay away from Emotional and Binge eating. Indian food or plate is mostly carb heavy. Broccoli, lentils, soybeans, asparagus, Low-fat dairy and spinach are some protein-rich foods. Try to replace wheat roti with Ragi, Bajra, Jowar, multi grain, soya atta or multi grain atta for three days in a week.
*Add green leafy veggies to the diet. They are a rich source of iron, proteins, calcium and fibre.
Have a balance of fruits, vegetables, liquids and superfoods in your diet.
Don’t Overeat. Be mindful of your portions
Though we hate to calculate calories on a regular basis. Most people don’t chew the good properly, or gulp their food while on the phone or watching television. Sometimes, when we are out at a party or office gatherings we end up overeating. Though the stomach might be full, the brain signals to eat more, and you eventually end up overeating.
Many women also have a fetish for certain foods like mithai, ladoos, gulab jamuns, jalebis and we can go overboard with it. Watch your portion size and measure your food.
If you focus only on the food, then you’ll eat only as much as your body requires, and hence better not to have any other activity while eating food
