Zerodha’s CEO Nithin Kamat shares his Fitness Fundas

Nithin Kamath joined his brother and business partner Nikhil as the newest entrant of the 2023 Forbes Billionaires list. On World Health Day he  reveals his fitness fundas. The businessman frequently makes headlines for his unusual workplace fitness challenges.

Nithin Kamath is a fitness enthusiast. He often times takes to the social media to share and inspire people about his list of life choices that can make life healthy and happy. Insisting that “excellent health can’t be bought,” Kamath said. Fitness objectives can be met with consistency and minor lifestyle adjustments. No amount of money can buy good health. It’s not difficult to live a healthy lifestyle; even modest changes can have a big impact ”

Be Consistent

Recently he took to twitter, to advocate the concept of consistency. He said, “Aim for a healthy life by being consistent. As we grow older, we realise money can’t buy health. Our health determines the quality of our life.

He urges his followers, to make health a priority in 2023. “Good health means the ability to bounce back if in case any unfortunate incident happens.” He shared his wife Seema’s story, who is cancer free now after being diagnosed with cancer ten months ago.

Be Happy and feel good

Nithin further said, “Good health is about feeling happy and good. It’s not about looking a certain way. If you try to emulate influencers and celebrities, you will land up feeling unhappy. Instead of that have simple goals like how many calories have I burned today. Or even simpler like how many steps did I move today.”

Sleep like a baby and be an early riser

You should get up by 5 am and sleep by 9 pm. People who sleep late tend to binge eat. Sleep is by far the most important aspect of being healthy. Also, its best to workout in the mornings.

Zerodha focuses on employee health

The financial Company Zerodha also made fitness a norm to encourage  employees to focus on their health. Nithin Kamat has set a new health challenge for employees so that they take time out to workout /exercise /sports activities.
Employees are even rewarded with a months salary or a lucky draw of Rs 10 lakhs if the fitness goals are achieved.

The Zerodha chief also  said that he had struggled to “look” fit due to his love for food and sweets. He gained weight during the lockdown but has worked hard on  shedding flab.
