Kajol Devgan talks about her journey in life

Kajol Devgan has come a long way. The 90s generation remember her as a bubbly dusky actress who didn’t care much about looks, make up or fitness. She went along with what was comfortable for her without bothering about the latest trends or what suits her curves.

In her interview with Humans of Bombay (HOB) Founder Karishma Mehta Kajol revealed that, “A lot of people struggle with accepting their bodies, skin and genetic make up. I say fake it till you make it.”

I was told she is dark, she is fat and wears specs all the time.

Kajol was at her vulnerable best when she said, “I have struggled with my skin, I have struggled to believe I am beautiful. I thought I was cool, attractive and intelligent but I did not believe I was actually beautiful.”

It was only when I was 32, when I actually looked in the mirror and said damn… I am beautiful. But I never let  it show.

It took me a long time to reach there but I never let it show and I went out there and I was myself.

On Hobbies

Have one hobby which pays you and one which keeps you happy. I love reading books.

My Mom is my hero

“My mom  was very brave She made a lot of decisions for me and gave me a lot of  freedom  which I doubt whether I would have the courage to give my daughter. She is one of my heroes.

I still haven’t found what I was looking for

I am still searching for what I want to do. Still, haven’t found what I actually and really want to do. I love to read but it can’t become a profession. I stumbled in acting and then just went with the flow.

Kajols’s Diet

She consumes everything in small quantities. She prefers 4/5 meals a day. Kajol has enough of water and has a diet rich in protein. She eats fish, eggs and chicken. She doesn’t believe in starving herself and keeps in touch with her dietician.

The age defying diva now believes in stepping out in style and living life to the fullest.
