With the COVID -19 Pandemic spreading across the world, borders sealed and people are being asked to Home Quarantine themselves. If you have traveled abroad or have come in contact with anybody with a travel history to Europe, Iran, America and other countries as listed by the government, then it is better to be safe than sorry.
Here are a few guidelines issued by the health authorities to follow. Better not to panic but stay calm and follow the instructions. As, we believe, its only a matter of time till things come back to normal and we all can breath fresh.
*About 97 per cent of the people will develop symptoms only after 14 days according to the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention That’s why the 14 days self quarantine and self isolation is important if one is suspected of being infected. So, if you are already tested positive or are awaiting your results you must self isolate and follow these instructions.
*Stay in a well ventilated room with an attached toilet. Maintain a distance of 1.5 meters if there‘s one more person in the same room
*Avoid social or religious gathering. Avoid public transport and travel.
*Avoid interacting with delivery people. Also, if you cough or sneeze, use a handkerchief, or do so into your elbow and wash your hands with soap. If you are already infected and cough into the hand and then handle the door bell or mug and somebody else too touches it; then that person too will catch the infection.
*Keep a distance from elderly, pregnant or people suffering from BP, Heart disease and Hypertension
*Wash your hands thoroughly as often as possible with a sanitizer and soap
*Avoid sharing household items like dishes, cups, drinking cups utensils and towels with family.
*Wear a surgical mask at all times. It should be changed every six to eight hours and disposed off. Disposable masks are never to be reused
*Masks used by patients/ close contacts during home care should be disinfected using ordinary bleach solution (5%) or sodium hypochloride solution (1%) and then disposed of either by burning or deep burial
*If symptoms appear (cough/fever difficulty in breathing he/she should immediately inform the nearest medical officer in one’s MCGM ward office. Use the following file depending on your location in India.

In stage 3, there is community transmission, so we need to be very alert to what is being communicated us by the government and health authorities. Also, you are your own judge in terms of how much risk you want to take.
Stay home, Meditate, do some Yoga and Pranayama and of course pray to heal the world.
This too shall pass !
