A mother and a son always share a special bond. For a mother her son is always the `little man’ in her life and for a son, mom can inspire and drive him to relentless greatness. Ditto with Milind Soman and his mom Usha Soman, 81. Both continue to inspire, motivate and teach other as far their fitness goals go.
Lately, the Indian model-actor-fitness enthusiast has been posting his fitness videos with his mother. “Skipping with Usha Soman! Not a new activity for her but new for me. When you are at home 24×7, each one, teach one another! You are old only when you think you are. #LockdownMantra #keepmoving #NeverStop #nevergiveup #love.” (sic).
In the slow-motion clip, the mother and son duo can be seen skipping the rope barefoot as the song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire plays in the background.
Milind – The Marathon Man
Milind who is also a `Marathon Man of Bollywood’ is known for completing the Ironman Triathlon. He has been leading a women-only sari-clad marathon, Pinkathon which he started in 2012 . Hs mother too had joined the bandwagon and ran the marathon.
Talking proudly about his mother, Milind says, “When I told Aai doing a plank is becoming the new trend to train the core. She took on the plank challenge and could hold it for 90 seconds. She trained for three months. She treks a lot, doing at least one trek every month and has been doing that for 15 years now since she retired. So, you are only as old as you think you are.”
