Finally, it looks like the COVID Pandemic is behind us and life is limping back to normal. The travel industry too is also looking at revival. As the vaccination drive has kicked off in many countries so has the urge to travel.

So, what are the destinations that you could explore in 2021? In our travel series, we will take you through one destination every week. This week we look at Maldives which is a dazzling  archipelagic state with a thousand islands in South Asia. It is situated in the Arabian Sea of the Indian ocean.

It lies Southwest of Sri Lanka and India. It is the smallest Asian country by land area. Male’ is the capital and the most populated city called the  King’s island.

The island country is a paradise of honeymooners with its white beaches and romantic ambience and hospitality. With its posh resorts, water villas, colourful reefs and water that’s bluer than blue, Maldives must definitely figure in your travel plans.

The capital of Maldives can be a great first stop on your Maldives tour, not because it is the best place in the country, but simply because the international airport is located in the capital. One of the best places to visit in Maldives.  It offers amazing resorts and plush water villas for a perfect romantic stay. Walk on the soft sand on the beach and take in the perfect view.

Biyadhoo Island

With full access of the island, Biyadhoo is considered to be the scuba-diver’s island and is known for its excellent water sports offering. The island is full of trees bearing mangoes, coconuts, cucumbers, cabbages and tomatoes.

Maafushi Island
