Baba Sehgal
Remember Baba Sehgal ? The Indian rapper has been away from the limelight for some time. But, he’s come back and how. His rhyme game is still strong and he puts it to some excellent use in his music video called ‘Coronavirus Se Bachne Ka Indian Tareeka’. It’s all in the title actually. In the video, Baba’s basically telling us what we need to do, including ‘Namaste’ instead of a ‘handshake’. It’s a fun, light-hearted way of educating people about something that is going to save their lives.
Vir Das
If there’s anyone who’s making the most of this staying indoors period, it is funnyman Vir Das. The guy had a bunch of live shows lined up, which had to postponed due to Coronavirus. But he decided to entertain us anyway, just through a different medium. He has started a vlog with the cleverest name—CoronaVir and he has been posting a lot of fun stuff on it lately, including a song that he has composed and song, called Coronavirus Blues!
Dhinkchak Pooja
Dhinchak Pooja managed to floor even Salman Khan on the Big Boss show with her queer singing style. Dhinchak Pooja’s newest drop ‘Hoga Na Corona’ is able to convince even one person to wash their hands properly and maintain social distance, then she’s won. The song is difficult to hear, and rather tone-deaf (as always), but to this we’d say, at least she tried!
Manjit Singh
Oye Punjabi ! Indians can’t do without a Punjabi song at a party or a wedding. YouTuber, singer-songwriter Manjit Singh dropped a two-part song which works both as a love song and a Coronavirus PSA.
The Kerala Police danced to a lovely music video done by a 41-year-old Worrawut Lakchai, a high school teacher in rural Thailand. There’s a fun element in this as the policemen dance to the beats while explaining people about how to stay from the virus.
